This lecture will explore the Aetiology,diagnosis,prognosis and treatment of molars with furcation involvement. Topics covered will include the instrumentation of molars with furcation involvement, the use od chemotherapeutics, resective therapy, guided tissue regeneration (GTR) and maintenance therapy.

Also included in this course: When to treat and when to extract and replace a molar with furcation involvemeny. Identification of combined perio-endo lesions and how best to manage these lesions. Current philosophies on GTR in the management of furcation defects.
