This workshop will provide a beginners guide to single tooth implant restorations using NobelBiocare implants. It is aimed at general practitioners who have not restored a dental implant but would like to incorporate implant prosthetics into their practice. It is also suited to dentists who have only completed a few cases and would like to sharpen their clinical skills in the area of single tooth implant restorations.
The course will cover basic cases assessment of potential implant cases and explore the surgical and prosthetic prerequisites for single tooth implant replacement. Subjects covered in detail include: Abutment selection, communication with the dental laboratory, fixture head impression technique, dealing with cases that have been immediately loaded with temporary abutments and crowns, fitting the final abutment and crown, cement vs. screw retention, common complications and how to manage them. The course includes a hands-on exercise where participants will be able to practice fixture head impressions on models and familiarize themselves with the various implant/ prosthetic components with prosthetic training kits.
